The bill on mobilization is being returned for revision, said the head of the Servant of the People faction Arakhamia following a closed meeting with the military command and the conciliation council.

“A closed meeting was held with the military command and a meeting of the Conciliation Council behind closed doors, which I announced yesterday.

Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi, Chief of the General Staff Shaptala, Minister of Defense Umerov, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, heads of factions and committees were present.

The main issue is bill No. 10378 on improving mobilization, military registration and military service.

Let me remind you that it was discussed behind closed doors by the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, in compliance with the requirements of the legislation on working with classified information.

There was a lot of discussion. We understand the request of the military command and are ready to meet them halfway. But not all norms can be supported. Some provisions directly violate human rights, while others are not optimally worded. This was openly told to the military command.

But all political forces have understood and support the need for mobilization.

Based on the results of the meeting, the bill is returned to the initiator. At the same time, we are passing on the proposals developed at the committee and in the working groups.”
